A 7 page analysis of the plot and character relationships found in this film. The author notes the inspiration provided by Jane Austen’s 1815 novel “Emma”. The primary emphasis of this review, however, is the examination of the film as a New Comedy. Characters are analyzed in terms of the “holy fool”, the “eiron”, and the “alazon”.
