Discrimination and Liability: An Investigation into the Backlash of Civil Rights Legislation
Number of pages:
6
ABSTRACT:
A 6 page contention that the laws that were put in place immediately after the Civil War to guarantee the rights of freed slaves, and those which have been in place since to prevent discrimination, have had a tremendous societal impact. While these laws were justified by the circumstances of the time period in which they were enacted, they now translate into the liability crisis which our businesses, governments, and organizations are facing today when they try to hire or replace employees based on qualifications rather than racial, ethnic, or gender identity. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
