ABSTRACT:
A 20 page paper that begins with the brief scenario and an the identification of the U.S. company, industry, and German company to be acquired (all fictitious). The rest of the paper is fact and includes a report and discussion of German employment/labor laws and practices, human resource issues to be considered when staffing and doing business in Germany and comments on whether or not the American company needs to change its organizational structure. The American 'company' is a chain of specialty coffee houses and the company to be acquired is one coffee house owned by a German entrepreneur. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
