Hermaphrodites: Stigma
Number of pages:
7
ABSTRACT:
7 pages in length. The global society is comprised of myriad subgroups that reflect offshoot populations demarcated by a specific characteristic; whether deliberately formed as a way in which to draw together those who are of the same ilk as with religious factions or manifestly established because of a socially fringed connotation, subgroups ultimately come to define the people associated with them. The stigmatization that is all too often connected to the latter subgroups develops because of how mainstream society casts shame upon those who do not measure up to the status quo. Hermaphrodites represent one such subgroup where intolerance runs high and social oppression is the norm. Bibliography list 5 sources.
