ABSTRACT:
A 5 page overview of juvenile crime. While “get tough” policies have resulted in a lowered degree of juvenile crime, our juvenile detention facilities and adult penitentiaries alike are filled to the brim. The economic cost of crime is astounding. A more effective approach than either “get tough” programs or rehabilitation would be to address the societal problems resulting in crime.
