ABSTRACT:
This 16 page paper outlines a marketing plan for an aging British tourist attraction located at Greenwich. The Cutty Sark is a well known tourist attraction, but it is also one in need of renovation which is going to cost £8 million. With little government help the Cutty Sark needs to be marketed in such as way that these funds can be raised. This paper analyses the macro and micro environment using a PEST and a SWOT analysis which includes a look a the competition as well as the more general factors, such as the impact of September the 11th. The paper then looks at how this information can be used to develop a marketing plan which includes the development of product expansion and market expansion with new events and products and new markets targeted.
