ABSTRACT:
(5 pp) Parental participation in the academic
lives of their children has always been seen as a
positive motivating force, both for the student
and the academic institution The ideal relationship
between parents, their students, whether special
needs students or students testing within the
traditional parameters include the processes of
building trust, compiling a repertoire of
instructional strategies, using effective
questioning techniques, providing effective
eedback, analyzing instructional materials, and
establishing positive home-school relations.
Racial distinctions do not affect these
motivational ideals. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
