ABSTRACT:
An 8 page paper. The fact that so many firms are multinational businesses means that managers who are capable of managing in a different cultural environment are needed. Since all large major corporations are, in fact, multinational, this inherently establishes the need for individuals who are capable of managing effectively outside their own home country. Multinational managers need the same skills as all managers but the international landscape demands additional knowledge, skills and characteristics. The skills and characteristics that have been identified as essential for the multinational manager are identified and discussed. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
