ABSTRACT:
A 4 page paper discussing kinds of statistical analyses that can be performed on information already existing or which can easily be obtained within an outpatient ambulatory surgery center to improve operations. If patients move through the surgery center in a straight-line fashion, then it is likely that alteration of process could increase the center’s daily capacity without significantly increasing costs, thereby increasing the center’s profitability without adversely affecting patient experience.
