ABSTRACT:
A 12 page paper presenting a strategic HR plan for this Dutch company. With its acquisition of US-based Dixie Union, Convenience Food Systems (CFS) has become the multinational organization it has been planning to be. This acquisition is the first of several planned for the long-term future; the company has opportunity to learn about integrating both corporate and social cultures to form an effective business base. The HR function will play an integral role in facilitating this transition. Its points of focus for the present and short-term future should be those of developing a high-performing workforce; effectively disseminating employment information; and training current and future employees in cross-cultural communications.
