THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
3 pages in length. The human circulatory system can be compared to a continuously looping freight train whereby deliveries are made on a regular basis without ever coming to a stop or even slowing down; provisions for a healthy body are dropped off by red blood cells at various ports and then distributed even further by smaller offshoot routes so oxygen and nutrients reach their final destinations. These veins and arteries play individual and collective roles in making sure the right delivery reaches the right location, with veins taking the inward route to the heart while the arteries pass it back through the body. White blood cells are the traffic control, law enforcement and emergency medical and sanitation systems that work overtime to keep unsolicited and/or harmful intruders from doing damage on this one-way flowing highway. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
