Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
This 5 page report discusses the numerous legal cases that have followed fighter Mike Tyson for most of the1990s.
The best-known of his legal problems involve the 1992 rape trial and conviction of Tyson for his attack on Desiree Washington, a contestant in the Ms. Black America Pageant.
The law allowed him a second round of appeals and in January of 1994, the Indiana Court of Appeals did decide to grant Tyson his hearing basing the decision on a legal point in his conviction for rape. That appeal was denied, as was his appeal to Indiana’s supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
