The Possibility of Information Overload in the Decision Making Process

ABSTRACT:
The role of information in the decision making process may be important. This paper argues that there is a danger that with increasing available source of information, that this will detract from the decision making process due to a skewed emphasis. After considering the role of information in analysis models and the traditional decision making processes it is suggested that an emergent strategy may be more suited to a changing environment.
