Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
A 5 page discussion of the historical role of the U.S. in world affairs. This paper notes that the U.S. as equally regarded as the most powerful nation in the world and the most glorious by most of her citizens. This role, however, has required both perseverance and strength to maintain in terms of the many historical trials with which we have been confronted. It has also resulted in significant resentment and hatred by outside entities. It can be contended, however, that the delicate balance which we have been able to maintain throughout many key moments of our history is best evidenced in a comparison of our military intervention in world affairs and its relation to international peacekeeping. Numerous examples are provided in support of this contention. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
