The Supreme Court: Role Played In The American Political Process
Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
3 pages in length. The omnipotent influence held by nine individuals on the United States Supreme Court gives one pause when considering the ever-changing values of judicial activism and restraint; depending upon who is appointed to occupy one of these lofty positions, the impact of Court rulings can sway to either end of the spectrum. This vacillation is wholly subject to each judge's perspective of a given case based upon personal experience, moral direction and individual interpretation of the laws, a trio of rationale that is often called into question when presidents appoint judges or when the Court makes what its constituency believes to be an unconstitutional ruling. While the Supreme Court is an integral component in the American political process, it too often considers itself an untouchable force with which to be reckoned. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
