War's Economic Effects
Number of pages:

ABSTRACT:
An 8 page paper discussing the effects of war on the national economy. Though the "typical" response to wartime activity is that the national economy improves, this is no typical situation. We are not officially at war with any particular country, which likely has a dampening effect on releasing the beneficial economic aspects of war. The economy had been teetering on the brink of recession simply as part of the classic business cycle, and the terrorist attacks likely pushed it over the edge. Even that is not yet clear, and the action of the already-growing government may have a significant effect at a later time. Bibliography lists 11 sources.
