ABSTRACT:
A system of distinction by class has existed in England for the entirety of their history. The issue of the integration of the working class into a system compatible with the design of democratic, capitalist society became significant during the Victorian era with the transition of economic structure from a feudal economy to an industrial economy. This is an 8 page paper that explores the process of transition in terms of the changes in the working class order. The Palestinian Arab society and the socio-economic structure in Ghana are used as models for comparison. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
